  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes (with juice)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, adjust to your spice preference)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


  1. In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and minced garlic to the pan, and sauté until the onions become translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until it’s browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
