Keto Sausage Cheese Scones


1 1/2 cups almond flour

1/4 cup coconut flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

1/2 cup cooked and crumbled sausage (choose a low-carb option)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)


Preheat Oven:

Ready your oven for baking at 350°F (175°C). Gather parchment paper and set it aside.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

Coconut flour, almond flour, baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper should all be incorporated into a big bowl of mixed dry ingredients.

Add Butter:

Incorporate the cooled, cubed butter into the dry ingredients. To make coarse crumbs, cut the butter into the flour with a pastry cutter or your fingertips.

Add Sausage and Cheese:

Spread the crumbled sausage and shredded cheddar cheese equally among the flour mixture by stirring in the ingredients.

Combine Wet Ingredients:

Combine the heavy whipping cream and eggs in a another bowl and whisk to combine.

Mix Dough:

After you’ve poured the liquids into the dry ones, stir until barely incorporated. Stir gently.

Shape Scones:

Place the dough on a surface that has been lightly dusted with flour. Roll it out into a diameter of approximately 1 inch. Make 8 wedges out of the circle.


Arrange the scones on the baking sheet that has been preheated. When the oven is hot, bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the sides start to become golden.


Before moving the scones to a wire rack to cool entirely, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet.

Garnish (Optional):

Garnish with chopped fresh chives if desired.
